On June 14th 2018, we, Federica and Antonio, took over \u201cTHE PATIO\u201d, one of the oldest beach establishments in Fregene.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It was an enthusiastic project for us and our five children to realise a dream that we had been planning for a long time.<\/p>

The first owners, the Pascali family<\/b>, had designed the estabilishment with the characteristic curvy lines after which, in 1946, the beach was demined of German bombs planted to stop an eventual allied landing which instead took place in Anzio.<\/p>

Impossible not to offer a tribute to Emma Pascali<\/b>, the first woman lifeguard in Italy and an inspiration for the Fregene marine community.<\/p>

Under her managment the Patio was very fashionable becoming the in place to relax for many celebrities including Frank Sinatra<\/b> who frequented the establishment in 1955<\/b>. In fact, for Emma her clients were all equal and she desired that everyone could find their own tranquil corner. The same type of respect for people and their privacy which we wish to offer today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After the death of Emma Pascali<\/b> in 2014<\/b> and a few years of closure we entered.<\/p>

We chose to value the historic structure and in a minute detail we intergrated this in a new way. It is for this wish that we have continued the important tradition<\/b> and happy to conserve the historic name of the establishment<\/b>.<\/p>

In our family we have a love for the sea which meant that we wanted people to enjoy the view simply by walking along the sea front.<\/p>

We desire that our clients can breathe the atmosphere of Fregene<\/b> not in a retro or nostalgic way but in a new dimension, human and joyful. Our passion for music has helped, furthemore at the weekends in July we organise a special market exhibiting craftsmen who present their exclusive work.

In winter you can eat in the greenhouse with plants hanging from the ceiling<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Outdoors we grow large rare plants, aromatic plants, succulents and a few small dunes in which as miracles flowers bloom directly from the sand.<\/p>\n

Everything contributes to make our little corner of paradise alive and organic. We wish that the gaze wanders free and from anywhere you can see the sea and relax.<\/p>\n

The search for tranquility is underlined by the presence of hand-painted signs<\/b> or placeholders with phrases that are our invitation to look with love to nature and the sea.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
